TURKISH COFFEE FORTUNE- TELLER
Tea time !
Apple tea for me again, Thierry’s having Aryan (yogurt drink) whereas
Ernie tried the famous Turkish coffee.
Advice from the travel guide book: ‘Don’t stir & drink or you will get
choked’.
Ernie enjoyed the Turkish coffee in her own way. ‘It tastes better &
special with the grounds after the stir unlike other coffee’.
After the last sip, Ernie turned the coffee cup upside down on the
saucer.
In a while, she removed the cup & asked the waiter passing by, ‘Excuse
me, do you know who can read my future from the coffee grounds remaining
in the cup.’
‘Sorry, madam, we don’t know any.’ |
Perhaps this tradition has been lost.
‘Why not we fortune tell your future?’ I suggested. Ernie was excited
for my good idea.
‘Hmmmm….White horses running in the valley. This means you shall come
back to Cappadocia again.’ Thierry turned up to be the fortune teller
this time.
I was shocked to see the leaving mark from the grounds as though the
hiking scene we’ve seen previously.
Ernie strongly accepted this prediction after all she falls in love with
Cappadocia.
CHILLING SUNSET ABOVE THE CEMETERY
In the evening, we came to the burial place & the world Muslim
pilgrimage village – Eyup. |
