Around 7am, we alighted at the bus stop of Goreme. We’ve been looking
forward to stay in the cave room in Peri pension. Cave rooms are famous
here. We were disappointed when the guy told us all cave rooms were
fully booked. ‘All rooms cost US$25 per night, cave rooms at US$30.’ my
head was aching when the guy explaining to us.
After some arguments, he unwillingly put us into an ordinary room
with bathroom attached at the rate of US$20 we’ve booked via phone in
Istanbul. We were unhappy for his attitude & felt cheated.
After this lesson, we have decided not to book room in advance via phone
& find our accommodation directly when we reach the next destination.

CAPPADOCIA DAY-TOUR
Meanwhile, there’s a guy urging us hurry if we wish to join their day
tour. Since it was a perfect weather with a clear blue sky for good
shooting, we didn’t want to waste our time arguing with the pension
owner.
It is wise to join a tour since the transport here is not convenient.
Half of the passengers were from Peri pension. They were Japanese youth.
Only 2 of us came from Malaysia. All of us mixed with other foreigners
stayed in other pensions.
We started up our day tour with the pigeon house first. The red color
outside the small holes was said to attract pigeon to fly inside for
droppings collection as the fertilizer. Farmers in the old days were
indeed brilliant for such an idea. |
