HARASSMENT IN A NIGHT COACH

6.45pm in the evening, we took a dolmus (mini bus) to the bus terminal of Istanbul. We were surprised to see the spacious bus terminal. The night coach is even spacious with cozy seats than those in our country.

‘Wow, our legs can stretch straight.’ smiled at Ernie, I believe it’s because western people is taller than us. I couldn’t believe we had attendant serving every one of us a small cup of mineral water. This was unexpectedly comfortable.

We were seated at the left side last 2nd row from the back. Seated behind us was a local middle-aged man. We were the only 2 Asian girls in this coach other than a Japanese male backpacker seated in the front. Nearby us were some other foreigners’ backpackers. Almost half of the passengers in the bus were locals.

We were getting ready to sleep after a tired day. The guy behind us started his hospitality hello towards us in his own language.

My nightmare started from his unbelievable act. For example, he would stuff me his jacket for fear I knocked my head to the glass while sleeping. It’s rejected by me politely. The worst was that, he later used his hand as a shield protected my face against the glass. This was suck!!!

It was still dark outside, awakened in annoyance, I nearly wanted to cry. I saw Ernie was sleeping soundly. Poor me, to this state, I cared less about my image or manners & threw his hand back to him heavily. Relieved, when I saw he alighted a stop before us.

CAVE ROOM

This is our 3rd day in Turkey when we reached Cappadocia. The wonderful rock formation seen from the coach in the sunrise prompted me to explore this amazing place at once. I didn’t have a good mood due to lack of sleep. What’s worse was our accommodation.

The wonderful rock formation prompted me to explore it at once even lack of sleep.
